I remember 78 (or was it 79? Twas a little hazy, ya' know . . OK, smoky haze, LOL!). All disco with the Bee Gees squeezing their crotches to scream like girls and Travolta dancing around like he was trying to get fire ants out of his clothes - UGH! And everybody loving it!
Then - finally - along came Van Halen and Rock was reborn. Then we hit the 80's and all the Big Hair Ballad song bands, but that was OK - Rock was back.
What are supposed to do now, though? I'm tempted to strap on the old guitar, put a Hard Rock band together and rock on, but I'm a 50 year old geezer, who's gonna listen to or watch me? Where are the 17 year old rockers with the energy to this stuff now? Have all the boys been feminazi'd to the point of being woosies finally?

If you think Rock is dead, you’ve never been to Austin Tx or Cleveland Ohio
I'm 57, started playing in 1964 at age 12. I'm still playing rock and electric blues out at clubs and small festivals, for crowds that range from age 18 to 60, with a median somewhere around 30. There are audiences who will listen and watch, if you're playing good music.
So stop whining, tune up the ol' 6-string, and PLAY!!! You only get older as time goes on.... ;-)
