Palaeontologists found 40 strands of fossilised hair inside samples of coprolite, or fossilised dung, from a cave in South Africa that was used by brown hyaenas.
Until now the oldest samples of human hair were from a 9,000 year old mummy found in northern Chile. It is extremely rare for soft tissue such as hair, skin and muscle to survive more than a few hundred years and only hard tissue like bone is fossilised normally.
But scientists believe the new samples of hair are the remains of an early species of human that was scavenged by hyaenas after death, allowing the delicate hairs to be preserved inside the dung as it fossilised.

I believe what the Bible says about the earth being 6000 old. It doesn’t say anything about the earth being 6000 years old. So I believe I’ll use my God given faculties and observe all the clues He has given us with respect to that.
Oh and I know I’m a sinner in need of a Savior. And there is no multiple choice question on the Heaven entrance exam saying “How old is the earth?” Thank goodness or we’d all flunk unless He grades on a curve.
“End of story.” Golf clap for you. LOL. I thought the seasons were caused by earth’s position relative to the sun at various times of the year. Nobody denies there is such a pattern. This is irrelevant to the question of which body revolves around the other, or whether either revolves around the other.
I always figured you and Blam were related... ;’)
Krugerrands are okay with me too.
And his ilk persecuted my Irish Quaker ancestors. Definitely not trustworthy. :-))

You can erase it from your hard drive but you’ll never be able to get it out of your mind! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Archbishop James Ussher concluded that the world was completed by God on Saturday, October 9, 4004 BC and that the first day of Creation was Sunday, October 2, 4004 BC. He also calculated that Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden on Monday, November 10, 4004 BC. According to his reckoning, the ark came to rest in the mountains of Ararat on Wednesday, 5 May 1491 BC. We should not be doubtful of Bishop Ussher's sincerity as he was a very learned man and he undertook this task with the greatest gravity. Some of his dates are not far off from the dating of present-day archaeologists. His system was accepted as truth until the 19th century. (There was dissent even in the 18th century). Then the ancient earth view began to be accepted. Today, most theological circles no longer accept Ussher's Chronology. Yet, don't completely discount his dating system, because at the time, he was earnest and he was meticulous in his method, and his dates were widely accpeted. His system has certain points that are remarkable. Having read his "Annals of the World," I have a deep appreciation for his work.

Seriously, there are good people who try and make the point for an ancient earth but I've been reading books that point out that everything these people say and preach can be explained away by a global flood and how it can explain everything from the Grand Canyon being created in just a few weeks to dead sea life (the clams everyone is talking about) being discovered on a mountain top.
this was the archetype of a bad hair day.
