["Free trade" isn't managed?]

No. That is your fundamental mistake.

You just finished claiming that "What Reagan called for was managed trade" instead of "free trade", and now you're claiming that "free trade" is managed trade.

Take a deep breath.

I believe you’re confused. I’ve said that Reagan advocated free trade, but he practiced managed trade. There is no equivocation there. It is quite succinct.

And, to the point, you advocate managed trade. Correct?

We may be making progress.

I think it has been established that NAFTA is “managed trade.”
We’ve also established that “free trade” differs from “managed trade.”
Accordingly, NAFTA is not “free trade.”

Does that make NAFTA a protectionist agreement? ;-)
