Take A Moment To Thank A Veteran
When you see someone in a uniform
Someone who serves us all,
Doing military duty,
Answering their countrys call,
Take a moment to thank them
For protecting what you hold dear;
Tell them you are proud of them;
Make it very clear.
Just tap them on the shoulder,
Give a smile, and say,
“Thanks for what youre doing;
To keep us safe in the USA!”

Oh, thats so sweet, yorkie! I did get a chance about a year ago to thank a Marine. It was down at the courthouse and I was getting tags renewed, etc. and as I was leaving I saw him in uniform and I just reached out my hand and said “I want to thank you for serving our country.” He had the biggest smile and was somewhat surprised that I had done that...but very appreciative. All day long I felt good.
That is great, Yorkie.
Last Friday evening, there was a young man in uniform waiting to be seated at Applebees. It was a pleasure for me to shake his hand and thank him for his service. He looked so happy as he thanked me and told me it was his pleasure to serve.
Thank you for reminding us to let them know they are appreciated.
