Gee, JOHNN..This is beautifully written but depressing! I am tired and not feeling top of the heap but it’s not THAT bad..LOL

Its more a statement of how a lot of older folks feel today, many of which I meet in my home visits to retirement homes and nursing homes for prayers and communion. So many feel so alone, left in the warehouse of the aged, feeling all to often forgotten. The poem is depressing, but there is a reflection towards the end that once you get passed the hard feelings and silent pain, they often regroup and find among themselves a new spirit, a new view point that lifts them and sustains them. As a minister, I’ve seen this more then a few times and it is a sign of the resiliency and strength of the human soul.
