A TRIBUTE TO THE HORSE

I am honoured by your majesty,
Yet humbled by your grace,
Yours is a world of service,
Masked by a gentle face.

Your strength is undisputed,
You have the power to kill,
but never would you knowingly harm,
Naturally it is not your will.

You carry us to dizzying heights,
With the willingness of a child,
And the innocence of an angel,
Hard to imagine you came from the wild.

You show the purest love,
Even when life for you is hard,
As humans we often spoil the pure,
Our priorities generally marred.

You can be whipped, kicked and hounded,
Yet one can never see a tear,
But we can see it in your spirit,
And your eyes they show your fear.

I can never take for granted,
The gifts you give so free,
So simple yet so intricate,
You ask nothing from the world you see.

To get you to serve your fullest,
We must never hurt or force,
The creature who has won our hearts,
That my friend is you the horse.

Come dance with me.

For My Hawk And Playmate - To My True Kindred Spirit

Come dance with me in the wind and the weather holding fast we tumble through heather purple, gold, opal, white, new discovered by dawn's fresh light. Come laugh with me til breath is scant our cheeks blood red with merriment. Eyes aglow, mischief bright the other's joy brings each delight. Answer to Lenchen by Hawk: To my true kindred spirit: I will dance with you in the wind and the weather, holding you tight as we tumble through heather. May the dance last forever, and may time be abolished could I say something clever so all doubts be demolished? I will laugh without rest 'til my lungs are screaming will consider it best to be trusting and dreaming. Eyes aglow with a shimmer, like the children we are, as we dance in the glimmer of the morning - not far. As I hold your sweet hand and look into your eyes, as we dance through the land, as we watch the sun rise. Now I know what I've missed 'cause it did not ring true: As children we've kissed and this child loves you. On the horse theme:

Job 39:19-20

“Hast thou given the horse strength? Hast thou clothed his neck in thunder? Canst thou make him afraid of a grasshopper?”

This shows the wonderful creature the horse is, so powerful, yet also so much a prey animal that he instinctually can be afraid of the smallest harmless things. Only God could have created this marvelous creature. My favorite animal, the horse.
