Thats like out of a nightmare after watching a Sky Pilot movie.
Too weird to imagine a future of super flying fortresses, but this would make an awesome feature in another alternate history movie.

Looks like the design has a fair amount of aero drag.

It might have worked on some scale except for the fact of those wimpy engines swinging 2 bladed props.

Reminds me of a cruise liner except it's designed for flying and not sailing.

The actual plane appears to have been considerably smaller than the artists renderings.

I always thought that it was somehow ironic that the designation for the giant pre-war Soviet aircraft was Ant. The Ant-20 was probably my favorite, if only because it actually flew fairly well, for what was basically a propaganda stunt.

Howard Hughes had issues, but he never designed anything that looked like that.

I’m thinking of Bruce McCall’s “1958 Bulgemobile” from National Lampoon when it was a funny magazine.

So, how many engines does it have to have to keep flying? Just curious to how easy it would be to shoot it out of the sky.

It looks odd, but I recall reading about some Russian bomber in the 30’s that flew non-stop to the US, and landed here. It created a bit of a stir,as might be imagined.
To: TigerLikesRooster
Now you know why the Soviets had the steal all of their airplane designs, look what they came up with on their own.
To: TigerLikesRooster
I wondered where Hi-Flier got those aircraft designs.
