And what were the circumstances surrounding you seeing debris in 1947?
Hi, my dad was the intelligence officer for the 509th composite bomb group at Roswell Army Air Field and was ordered by Col. Blanchard the base CO to investigate what crashed on the Foster Ranch and to gather pieces of debris from whatever crashed and bring it back for inspection. Because the debris was unique, he brought portions of it back for my mother and myself to examine. I have to say the debris was not classified at that time. It was like something that I have never seen. The Army did give me some training in a/c accident investigation, and I can tell you that this was not from a conventional craft. Certainly not from a weather or Mogul Balloon which is the cover story.
