Compare if you will the austere and spare set for the British program with the glitz and huge audience of American Idol. Many think Idol has peaked meaning a cahs cow is drying up.

The solution for Simon and the producers is to nurse and develop the Brit show. Ms Boyle could very well be the vehicle for that growth. Rather than tearing her down, she will be given unimaginable opportunities. It has made real stars in America and can happen again in the UK.

I watched the face of Simon during her clip. The smiles reflected satisfaction and the realization of success in his endeavor
