Bay Area Patriots - Upcoming Event: Healthcare Protest!
WHEN: Friday, August 14th.
TIME: 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
WHERE: Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco.

PLANS: A “Mock Town Hall Meeting.” Since the Speaker won’t come to us and answer our questions, we’ll bring the Speaker to you!
A Moment of Being Silenced…bring tape if you so desire as we’ll have 15 minutes of silence!
A Candle Vigil…for our missing representatives.
Healthcare professionals, please wear your uniforms and lab coats, etc.
The People will have the opportunity to speak for a few minutes with the Bullhorn. Keep it pithy and on point and keep your cool!
CONDUCT/SECURITY: If you see anything that doesn’t feel right or a participant who has a sign that doesn’t sound like one of ours or you see someone trying to goad us, point them out to a police officer and grab someone w/ a video camera.
We are angry but let’s use our anger creatively to get our point across. Do not give in to any attempts by infiltrators to anger you. That is what they are trying to do! Don’t give them and their pals in the press the upper hand.
WHAT TO BRING: Your signs and a red T-shirt. Signs should stick to the healthcare theme....

We joined thousands of Georgians for this Health Care Town Hall. It was incredible! Great to see a “mob” of patriotic Americans ready to have their voices heard...if only they could get inside! They should have held it in the sports stadium!

Zoe Lofgren Townhall Meeting

I just returned from Zoe Lofgren’s Townhall meeting. (Calif Dist. 16) It was held in the Almaden Community Center generally an upper middle class neighborhood. I have to give her guts for showing up.
Initially they only allowed 200 people in the room and locked the doors on about 150 people left out in the hall. The San Jose police were in a bit of a quandry as to what to do but eventually just as the meeting started they let us in for SRO in the back.
The crowd was 95% anti big government healthcare. (I think the other 5% were afraid to talk) The audience knew the bill better than Ms. Lofgren and became vocal everytime she tried to mask what was in the bill. All of the right questions were asked with her being accused of being a lier or imcompetent as the crowd followup. Best question of the night award goes to a young lady who asked how in the world Ms. Lofgren expected the Feds to run health care when Tenn., Mass., and Hawaii have all failed. Got a standing ovation. The 2 hour meeting lasted about 45 minutes when a lady finally walked to the front of the room and slammed the whole bill down on the table for Zoe to look at as she did not seem to be aware of what was in it. Ending the meeting here was OK as everything that needed to be said was said.
She was escorted out the back of the hall by SJPD to chants of VOTE NO! by the 450 people there.
