Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell the sixth man to walk on the moon laid a bombshell on ABC News with the comment "the UFO phenomenon is real" last July. Yet why didn't other major media pick up on this fascinating story? Wouldn't the public be interested to know? Wouldn't you want to know?
The article on ABC's website leads with "Of the more than 6 billion people in the world, only 12 have ever set foot on the moon." Edgar Mitchell is a member of that elite group of 12 space pioneers. Astronauts are some of the most highly trained and respected members of our society, yet the major media seems to feel that the comments on UFOs of this most esteemed American on the subject are not newsworthy.
There are a few exceptions, including the ABC News article mentioned. Below are key quotes from this excellent article on the revelations of Edgar Mitchell regarding UFOs.

Massachusetts Dems: "Let Illegal Immigrants VOTE!" (Dems Despoil Democracy) (Boston Herald April 7, 2009 Michael Graham)
Rep. Pam Richardson of Framingham wants the Massachusetts Democratic Party to advocate voting rights for illegal aliens. You read that right. A handful of liberal Massachusetts towns already allow legal resident aliens to vote in local elections. But Richardson wants illegal immigrants canceling out your vote for school committee and town selectman.
And she wants the state Democratic Party to lead the way.
Last month, at a local party platform meeting in Framingham, Richardson looked into a video camera and bemoaned the unfairness of the crimmigrants plight:
We have a large population of people living here who dont have the same rights and opportunities of the rest of us, she complained. Im talking about undocumented immigrants.
Most unfair, she argues, is their exclusion from our democratic process.
They dont feel that they have anyone to represent them [in government]. Its because theyre not part of the democracy, Richardson told fellow Democrats.
I wonder why so many are being seen lately.
You think they know something big is coming?
Maybe they don’t want those stupid sunscreens put out into space.
If a conspiracy really exists, then our understanding of basic laws of physics is flawed as the speed of light must not be a limiting factor to the speed at which travel can occur and some government somewhere would tip their hand at having been in on the conspiracy by funding a lot of research in this area of physics.
Well, duh! Put those screens up there and they won't be able to observe us. That'll be sure to tick them off.
Sure, there may be life out there. But to believe the government is competent enough to cover up something like this...?
If they had had contact with another civilization, they would have taxed it by now.
LOL. A $150,000,000 “C02 tax” for entering the atmosphere? Brilliant!
“and, what is this? A crash helmet”?
“oh, I hope not”
Jose Jimenez. (Bill Dana)
LOL
I still have that LP up in the attic. My Mom and Dad saw him live on his show, The Bill Dana Show once, and bought it afterwards.
I was around when the film came out. And when it played cable for years. Never saw it.
Steven Spielberg has recycled the “tricks” a number of times since (like the water ripple as the dinosaur approaches in Jurassic Park).
And the end of that film? A disco rave in the dessert. Feh.

Yeah, I think everyone knows that the *phenomenon* is real (i.e., it’s a “phenomenon” that exists). The real question — though — is “What is it?”
That’s what the government is not answering (at least not satisfactorily), the “what is it” part...
He was the bearded scientist in the blue jacket smoking a pipe when the craft made contact.
I saw the film with my ex when it was released, when I saw Hynek’s cameo, I was the only one in the theater to laugh out loud....
Pinging the list..
To be added to the 175 plus member unidentified aerial phenomenon list (ufo),please freepmail (works best) the three of us; Quix , DCPatriot, and LasVegasDave.
I’m still waiting patiently for an IFO.
Or at least a good, high quality picture of one.
Full moon is tomorrow, April 9.
The most curious question is why the aliens choose to always show up in (or above, anyway) the U.S. and not some other countries like, say, Bolivia, Slovakia or Burma? Ya think they all (them aliens) speak American, that’s why?
