In Ayn Rand's novels her protagonists often make longwinded speeches about what they believe and practice. It's a little heavy-handed for my taste and I don't agree 100% with "them," but her books are a good political read.
Pretty apolitical at the time (except for being a Republican at the time because I grew up in a Republican family) I read Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead when I was about 18. I think those helped direct me towards conservatism long before I could define it -- and when I discovered Solzhenitsyn 3 or 4 years later, near the beginning of my "Russian authors" decade, that helped refine my direction.
They are apparently making a movie from Atlas Shrugged. My big fear is that they'll totally mess it up (sort of the way they did Heinlein's Starship Troopers). When it's released I'm going to wait for the reviews; if it's bad I'm not spending a dime on it.

And maybe some one can give thier opinion on what it could mean. I was down south, I beleave it was in Tennessee and in a church, it wasn't a Catholic church.
I was at some sort of memorial service and they were singing this hymn that was really beautiful, I can't remember the words to it but it gave me a sense of well being.
Witch was broken when a woman in the congregation got up and started spouting off political diatribes and saying some thing folks shouldn't be saying in ANY church.
I tried to protest her actions as inappropriate for a church service but she only spoke louder.
The thing that really got me upset was that no-one would say anything to stop her and the preacher was silent as well.
I got up and stormed oput of the church saying this was no house of God that would allow such behavior.
now, was that a preminition of what is to come?
Way too serious for the Undead Thread, but
cricket please take note: For those who acquiesce in ways (or manners) similar to what you noted, this is one possible outcome. And it's my belief that such actions are not so far away -- as I recall there have already been protests of various kinds in Roman Catholic churches in the U.S.

I’ve got one about that size. Mine has a loft and a basement. The stairs to the loft are dadoed into the stringers. Stay clear of the ceiling fan, though.
I like your plywood gussets!

My brother-in-law built a playhouse that size & shape. And outfitted it completely as a beer brewery. I approved 100%. Even before tasting his wares. *\;-)

I told this picture on my last adventure at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. I herd they were building a new section and wanted to be one of he first to see it. They label their exhibits there so people know what they are looking at.
