Flambert wants a whole lotta love. I like him, but really, he's not many enough for rock. Rock (and specifically Zepplin) is about the projection of energy: primitive, untamed, masculine, (hetero)sexual energy. Adam is too polished, too sophisticated, too broadway. He's great, but he's not authentic rock. I saw Plant last summer, and my knees went completely weak. I'm melting just remembering that concert.

Allison the Red and Purple wow. This girl is how old? I enjoyed the performance. All the right kind of energy, and none of the Joplin crazy (though I do love Joplin crazy... in small doses.) Allison - for the win!!

Kris -n- Danny Duet Great harmonies in the beginning. Then ZZZZzzzzzzz followed by fail.

Kris Who? I love the Beatles. I love this song. I don't really love Kris singing it. He's not singing from a place of strong emotion. He's just singing. But not a bad performance all in all. Good thing he's a cutie because his pretty face is the only thing he's got right now.

Danny Downey Jr. Dream On. Tough to get Mr. Christian Radio Voice to sound like authentic rock. Not bad... except for those long notes. They got a little warble-y. Then someone stepped on the cat's tail - AAAAAGH!!!

Adam -n- Allison Duet I wasn't looking at the TV at first and couldn't tell the difference between her voice and his. She is awesome and he is girly. The performance was fun! Lots of energy. Awww, and a hug at the end. They're, like, BFFs, and stuff.

Adam's got the polish, but Allison is authentic. These will be the final two. I'll give the win to Allison, but they were equally good.

Toss-up on whether Kris or Danny is going home. Will come down to the Furl y votes.

That duet was one of the best performances on Idol in my 3 years of watching.

Good review. I agree with most of it.

However, I thought Adam was sensational tonight with a great, sexy, riveting, powerful, energetic solo. Then he and Allison hit it out of the park with that duet.

Kris was weak tonight. I believe he will go home this week.

Danny, Mr. Nice Guy, just couldn’t get down and dirty enough to rock it. Nice try, though.

They sure were jinxed today, and it’s amazing that the cast, crew, and band could pull off such a great show after such chaos.

Hope the girl is OK—the one who was knocked off the stage. (Debbie?) I’ll send up a few prayers for her healing.

I always love your summations. LOL.

I loved Adam... and I say this as someone who loooves Zeppelin and once smooched Plant (not to be confused with "made out with"... but I digress). I played Whole Lotta Love afterward and well... Adam really really nailed it.

Allison is great, Danny still charms me, and Kris makes me ZZZzzz.

We had Adam, Allison, and Danny on redial on various phones for a while here. I really need Kris to go. Then it's just wrenching pain saying good-bye to the others from here on out.
