Don’t those hurt just a little?...it’s not a normal position for feets to be in..and it has to stretch the tendons..
No, they don’t hurt a little bit. They hurt a lot, but they look good. :)
Over time, the muscles will change and regular flat shoes will hurt those who wear very, very high heels all the time.
There is an art to walking in heels.
First, roll your shoulders back and stand up to your full height. If you don’t you will look like a hunch back. This one is a dead give-away for spotting women who either don’t know how to walk in heels or normally don’t wear them or just plain don’t feel comfortable.
Second, put one foot out in front of the other. The one calf should almost brush the inside of the other leg as it passes. This will make you glide instead of stomping around like a Clydesdale.
Third, especially when walking in very high heels like those pictured, walk on the balls of your feet. The idea of wearing heels is to be light on your feet and feminine, not looking like you could be pulling the Budweiser Wagon.
Thus concludes RetroKitten’s Charm School for today. ;-)
