Hi Jonny. Sorry I wasn’t around last week. My old PC died. Took me awhile to do the research and to scrape together enough money to buy a new laptop. Got a really good deal on a Toshiba for $500. One good thing about the rocky economy is the fact that prices on some consumer goods, like electronics, have come way down. A laptop with these specs would have sold for around $2000 about 18 months ago and closer to $3000 just two years ago. Manufacturers and resellers are going for sales volume over price these days to keep product moving.
LOLZ jonny. :) Good show tonight for Danny and Kris. loved both of them, but I still didn’t like Adam!!! I don’t care how talented everyone says he is, I just do not like his voice. The same scream/yell he does in every song is so old. It is just not my cup of tea.
LOL!
So, I'll just rank them on their own choice, which is more important anyway, a sit shows what they think their strengths are.
If based on how the competitors actually performed last night, there's no doubt in my mind that it should be Kris and Danny in the finals. They picked good songs, and performed them very well. Adam wasn't bad, the other two were just better.
The problem here is that each of the remaining three has a real strength, but I'm not sure any of them have the complete package. Adam has excellent range, control, and training, but he lacks the instinct and empathy to be a convincing singer. Danny has a great natural voice with good instincts, but he doesn't really have a contemporary feel. Kris may be the worst (a very relative term) pure singer of the three, but he has the knack of really connecting with a song, and making it both his own and current.
If you could have Adam's skill, Danny's voice, and Kris' artistic sense all rolled into one, you'd have a potential mega-star. I'm just not sure any of the three can completely compensate for their own weak areas, though.
