#10,072—I agree. I wrote earlier that I feel this whole AI season has been a manipulation by AI/19E. Adam gets national exposure and a fast track into the recording biz. AI/19E gets the cash. They have marketed him brilliantly....
And as far as 19E is concerned, the fact that Adam will be a flash in the pan (the squealing girls who think he’s a character from “Twilight” or something will quickly lose interest because they’re not into late 70’s/early 80’s style stadium rock) doesn’t bother them. They want to make a quick killing on a single album, and they’re not interested in any of the artists’ long term careers.
Adam, in my opinion, would better serve himself by tanking it on purpose (like Blake Lewis seemed to do), to avoid the 19E contract. His objective should be a Broadway gig, and the AI exposure will be sure to land him there.
