Adam vs. Danny is the one everyone’s hoping for right?I think that ends up being the last two, and here's why. This coming week, the judges make song choices for each contestant. I would expect that they will choose songs which will be a stretch for the performer and Kris has the least range in terms of style. Danny and Adam are more flexible and can do more with a wider range of song style.
Kris is my personal favorite - followed closely by Danny - but I think this week's setup will work against him.

I have to disagree with you there. If they were only limited to certain choices the show would have been over a long time ago because that would have been rigging. Someone would have found a lawyer went after AI and they would have talked by now.

The way I understand it, there’s a “pre-cleared” list of songs each week. Contestants are free to go off that list, as long as they stay within the theme (and a few contestants have pushed the boundaries there over the years), but there’s no guarantee that they will be able to secure clearance in time for broadcast.
This happened to a few contestants that I can recall — once someone was on their fifth choice because they didn;t receive clearance on the first four. And then there was the flap with Archuleta last year where he “mixed in” part of a non-cleared song for his performance, which cost 19E some extra bucks in royalty payments.

You’re coming across as someone who wants to push Adam down people’s throat. I just got done reading the last couple hundred posts, you realize that most of your posts were about how great you think Adam is as a singer. I think we got the message a few posts ago.

Wow. That’s quite the ad hominem attack.
Pleae do not mistake me here ... I am glad you joined the AI list! Welcome! It’s always nice to see new people here. But I think that attack on Adam is a bit unfair and unkind. It’s true that I like his music (so far) and admire his vocal ability. However, I think I would find that unkind even if I thought he was the worst contestant ever to grace the show.
