I came her the first time and I helped some people understand the rules and the format. The next week, I criticed a couple of people's comments. Those people had friends here and the friends started a fued.

Skateman continues the feud to this day while the others sent around freepmails instructing some of the sheep in the group to not reply to me.

Skatemen either didn't get the mail or thinks it's his job to make snide comments about me to others.

I forgot to mention they have accused me of being some woman they drove off and made up lies about me trying to get the moderators to ban me. You can see where the false accusations went. I only wish the mods would ban people who do things like that.

So yes, in the face of that, I try to be serious about what is a singing competition and I would like people to support their opinions with some explanation or facts.

They have a vocal coach so I am sure he or she has a lot of input on picks. I would say the pick comes down to what they like and how comfortable they think they are with the song material and how big a risk they are willing to take at each step of the competition. IIRC in an iterview the producers said they all the get the same list to choose from. So depending on the song catalog it can be pretty big say for category Country or Rock week or small if they are choosing from one artist.

Allison didn’t seem very happy with Somebody to Love, so, if they had a huge list to choose from, why would she choose a song she didn’t want to do????? She acted like Cry Baby was the lesser of two evils.

What a night! Like most were figuring it was going to be Red Head, and not to sound like a trained parrot beeping out what I’ve already said last round, but, wow, again when Allison took the stage out and did her Cry Baby, my God – besides being even better than her competition performance, it was Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis Joplin (a Family Dog Production) holy cow I thought I was going to faint.

And she’s only 17?

She better go places. She better. Some band is going, has got to, pick her up. She’s got a ghost in her, and it’s Janis. Like, make a movie, and let her star in it – “Cheap Tricks”.

Good bye Red Head, and you almost made me jump out of my couch again and yell, “Janis! Give it to me Janis!” … but my wife was on the couch with me.

So who’s going to win? I know Danny has a lot of fans.

I would say when they get the list they pick 4-5 they want to do then they try them and listen to the versions out there and pick 2. Plus they discuss it amongst themselves and the coaches. But they have only a short time to pick plus the band can’t learn all the songs so they narrow it down to the one that they think is best and get the music and make any changes they want to the song then get it to the band for rehearsal. So by then it is down to two and one is the main the the other is the back up if the first one is not working out so well. They only have X-amount of rehearsal time with the band to learn the song so if they make a bad pick there is not much they can do at that point.
