Same producers, same judges. The fix is the only possible reason for both those events.

Not in Mandisa's case. She was never really comfortable on stage and it showed. There was too much talent in that season anyway. Daughry, Taylor, McPhee, Paris, Pickler, Elliott. She didn't have much chance of winning.

let us ask ourselves honestly. is there a carrie underwood this year. or a kelly clarkson. a person capable of massive sales. i think not. weird how guys are huge last year and this and yet two of the girl winners are the ones to go on to superstardom. idol is down 23 percent from last year. i think that it is the a three point thing:

the economy
the tackiness of the tattoo girl and the drag queen
kara broke the mojo of the judges

i still believe that to sell records girls must be able to imagine themselves as a beautiful carrie or girls must be able to want to be the girlfriend of the singer (male). yes the world is perverted. this generation is different. but not that different.

don’t see a superstar here this year. but i really like Kris and Anoop and Scott as people. someone i could relate to. that is my two cents.
