I almost peed on my dog looking at the Matt-mole picture!!! Hilarious!
That is good news. It should be a great idol then. I can't wait to see what songs they pick.
Danny finally showed he can do something else and he was fantastic. Adam's control was amazing. Most singers would have let those runs and that final note get away from them. He held it together quiet nicely.
I don't know what the future holds for Adam but with the right songs he could be a big time hit. As far as image goes I have seen a lot of people that have turned their lives around and have done some amazing things. I don't never leave God out of the equation. All things are possible through Christ who strengthens us. So there is always hope.
I hate to see Matt go but it is time. But we will have to see what America does on voting. When it gets down to 5 things get pretty tight.
I don't either, but there is a difference between those that actively seek God and His teachings and those that turn away and chose a path that is opposed to God's teachings. jmo
I agree but I have seen some hard cases that were running from God and ended up running into HIM and Christ changed thier lives. So there is always hope.
Oh, there’s always hope.
Heya athelass... sorry I'm a week late answering! But we also have toddler twins with the six cats ... and yes it is eye-crossing how many you end up keeping! (Cats, that is. We always meant to keep the twins! :) Ours is a lively household, I'll say that! Sounds like yours is too!
Tea Party went very well -- our local paper estimated that 400-500 people were there, which is about 475 more than I expected in our very blue Sonoma County! LOL! I took our boys with me and put a sign on their stroller: "Will we be paying *your* debt in *our* old age?" It got a lot of thumbs-ups from passers-by. Glad we went to the party!
Hey Hetty, Idol was great tonight, yeah? Love this music.
So glad to get a tea party report, glad you went. I hope you got photos of your twins at their first protest. That’s totally cool. This was my first, too, but I’m 49! Seems like more than the usual number of twins being born lately.
My DIL miscarried twin girls last year, at 22 weeks. Our first grandchildren. Her name is Kayleigh. Her best friend had twin girls in March. In honor of Kayleigh’s loss and their friendship she named the girls McKayla and McKenna. Wonderful names, especially since they are of Persian descent, born in Bahrain, first language will be Farsi, and they will be raised in New Zealand. Amazing!
I’m not even going to try to rank them this week — the theme and their choices makes it hard to really give a 1-5 breakdown. So, I’m just going to talk about them...
Kris and Danny — both quite solid performances, but really were simple throwbacks to the era. I didn’t get much originality out of either of them this week. Given that Kris got the “slot of death”, he might be in trouble this week, even though he doesn’t deserve it.
Matt — this should have been right in his wheelhouse, but while he did OK, he once again was trying too hard, and really overdid it with the “coloring up” he tried to add in. Not sure if Simon’s comments are going to hurt or help him.
Allison — on the whole, she exceeded my expectations. She’s not the most technically sound singer... probably the least so of the remaining 5... but she did a credible job on a ballad. In her case, I’m glad she resisted the temptation to “rock it up” — she still has that distinctive voice which I think transcends the technical weaknesses.
Adam — he met my expectations. And that’s not a good thing. I absolutely HATED this — it was over-the-top, massively indulgent, and creepy... and that was BEFORE I started watching him which made it all so much worse. Mrs. kevkrom said she couldn’t get Tim Curry from Rocky Horror Picture Show out of her mind the whole time, and I agree with her assessment. This is over-theatrical 70’s throwback garbage, not anything fresh or original.
Bottom 2: likely Allison (again!) and Matt
Going home: Matt
After his on-air bizarre behavior a couple of years ago, I doubt Buble will be invited back anytime in the near future. Foxx did surprisingly well as a mentor... better than most, though not as good as past folks like Barry Manilow (indifferent singer, but a great vocal coach).
My take is that Simon doesn't doubt her talent... he doubts her confidence and desire.
” Adam’s control was amazing. Most singers would have let those runs and that final note get away from them. He held it together quiet nicely.”
My wife and I picked Adam a long time ago. Setting aside all the possible personal quirks , he has more voice control, while taking real risks than any other competitor.
Danny is very good, but to us never stretches. Chris is also similar, but doesn’t have Danny’s range.
Adam with that single note finish showed he in a “ singing class” all by himself. I don’t recall many established artists that could pull that one off.
Ok, that take makes sense. When I watch/listen I miss stuff if I’m typing...I’ll chalk my reply before up to that again being the case. LOL! Next commputer purchase,a laptop!
Oooh...I like those myself...
LOL There is a bit of a difference between a violin and cello for sure! I really do want to see that movie-it looks good.
Wouldn’t those glitter shoes look great next fall with a little black dress? :)
Check out Spain’s Princess Letizia’s shoes, (ignore MO’s fugly $2k dress).

That could be interesting. I hope he performs live on the results show.
LOL!
