I think it works against her. She is a nice girl with a really great voice, but all you see that fire engine hair -—just grabs you and takes away from really listening to her. It’s just a shame.

Yesterday was her 17th birthday.
Her song is "Someone To Watch Over Me"
Foxx: Who watches over you? (Allison says her family) While you're singing imagine how much love your family has for you.
WOW! This is her best peformance in weeks. She looks and sounds great.
Randy: Dude, that right there--yo! yo! yo!--I don't care what nobody tells you, that was HOT!
Kara: I was starting to think you needed someone watching over you, but (laughs) I don't think that no more! That was a gutwrenching, emotional, way beyond your years rendition. And if that doesn't land you in the finals I don't know what will.
Paula: Innocent sensablility and very tender. I'm very proud of you.
Simon: Do you think you can win this competition at this stage?
Allison: I think I can.
Simon: I ask that question because I don't feel that from you still. Maybe you've been overshadowed. I have a horrible feeling you could be in trouble tonight. 7 out of 10.
Kara: (to Simon) I love you, but you're CRAZY!

The problem with Allison (and she’s my favorite this season) is that she hasn’t “connected” with a large fan base.
I think by saying what he said Simon is going to push votes in her favor.
Her answer to the “Do you think you can win” question was right on. She said yes but didn’t sound stuck up because she said the ALL have a chance to win. People will like that and she needs to build her “likability.”
