I’ve seen many of them in concert and I know they can sing...so not sure why they sound so awful this year...They're not outputting the vocal line feed, they are pushing the live sound audience feed and blending it. It sounds like crap!
Who's the crack ear sound engineer?

It’s like she’s smuggling someone in her top and they are mooning the camera.

When they get the first “safe” call, does it mean anything? Not usually. The pattern that Seacrest uses is designed to create maximum suspense. Which is probably why they booted Lil early. Everyone knew she was going home :)
