Kara wrote the song and said it was meant to be sung the way he sung it-—higher pitched than Kris’ voice. It was written with Adam in mind...

HE'S AWFUL!
It's like he can't breathe. There's no melody. And his voice sounds off key.
The fact that it's a crap song doesn't help.
Randy: That key was a little high. You're an amazing competitor. I think your voice suits that song better than Adam's.
Kara: I don't want you to be judged by that song. [Even she can't make excuses for it] I do think it was too high. I congratulate you on an incredible season. And I hope people vote on the season.
Paula: One of the most compelling finales. I wish you the best of luck.
Simon: Kris look. Again I think the highlight tonight was your first song. Watching you tonight as been incredible. I remember your first audition, no confidence [back then]. You thoroughly, thoroughly deserve to be standing on that stage.

That’s just not exactly the case. We put songs in different keys all the time. You just lower it about a minor third and it would have worked for him. It’s his own fault for not making them lower the key.

Carire looks and sounds better every time!

Flambert: Mad World - Excellent soundalike of Gary Jules. My favorite performance of his this season.
(Song 2): Like a squealing fanbelt singing the blues.
Kara's Song: Sounds like Broadway. mumblemumblescreech, something about no boundaries. I'm a big believer in boundaries, personally. They make for a civil society and sane people. The song was proof that Kara's a dingbat.
Kris:
Aint No Sunshine - I'd buy this, provided there's a bit of producing and coffee-shopping done to it. Plus he's a cutie.
What's Goin' On: Just, yum. The guitar is vey sexy. Kris just sealed up the Ferlie votes.
Kara's Idiot Song: Kris is mumbling, too! I wonder if that's a notation on the score: Legato mumble. I can envision Kris' version on the radio and on my iPod. He had trouble singing it, but he sang it better.
My prediction: Kris due to the Ferlies.
Adam will have a career no matter what; can't say the same for Kris, however. Adam is a technical master and an amazing artist. Nevertheless, he should take a page from Coco Chanel and 'always take one thing off' from every performance. With the right production team and band, I'd buy an Adam album in an instant. But I really think Kris won the night.
