I am far past the obligation, to bow down to my local GOP authority. I believe they are part of the problem that needs to be shed.

Damn well stated. That is the reason I'm no longer a Republican as of last week (should have made this move long ago). The Rats are traitors and I now view the Republicans as co-conspirators.

One mad as hell conservative coon-ass.

I suggested on another thread the institution of a new conservative political party that would overcome the disadvantages normally associated with alternate parties (e.g. dilution of voting power).

Here's a link to that suggestion.

GOP/Pubs lost us last year.
We now describe ourselves politically as Conservative Catholics.

Last week was my breaking point with the GOP as well. They b*tch and whine about pork and excessive spending then can't keep their own fingers out of the cookie jar. Hypocrites, every one. I don't see ONE truly standing for the Constitution.

Furthermore, I'm glad McCain lost. Where's that temper in the face of the decimation of our country?

It is a sickening feeling, what I feel I have to do. I honored 20 years in the military, to realize what we are supposed to protect. The rule of law, (Constitution) grants the most abilities for individuals, to achieve their own definition of greatness. Our greatness is determined by what we want to achieve. I will make that decision based on the reality of today. I WOULD RATHER FIGHT NOW, THAN SEE MY CHILDREN IN BONDAGE LATER>
