So what's in your beer Fridge?
February 20, 2009 | Self

After reading all the recent beer postings, I got curious: What's in your beer fridge? And to add a philosophical angle, what WOULD BE in your beer fridge if you could have any beer you wanted there?

OK, so right now I have three Michelob products: Ultra Amber (not bad for a light beer), Amber Bock (always good) and Dunkelweisse, their wheat beer (a little peculiar tasting, but not bad - the last one is going in a bread recipe).

Beer ping!

In the freezer section, there’s a frozen FSU beer mug just waiting for next CFB season...

Yuengling Lager stretches my dollar pretty well. Yuengling Black and Tan is nice for the current climate and temp. It's very affordable at about $5.49 here.

Wouldn't mind having a case of Shiner Black Lager, which actually isn't really all that much more expensive, considering that they ship it from Texas ~ a couple extra bucks.

Blue Ridge Honey Porter is probably the brew I would like to most have in the fridge.

Shiner is the beer I expect to be drinking after the revolution ~ I'll probably be doing some homebrewing between now and then.

So I never answered my own “what-if” question: that would be Highland Brewery’s Gaelic Ale from Asheville, NC. GREAT flavor.

No guns or cold steel, though...you guys are funny!

Shiner Bock is some good brew.

I think the brewmasters are of Czech origin??

Sam Adams - not necessarily my all time favorite, but I pick it up at the grocery store for less than a dollar a bottle, which is not all that bad a price these days.
