I have heard similar %'s regarding local/state police and the US Army - very few would actualy want to take part in disarming their fellow citizens - but then there's the willing disarming of N.O populace after Katrina by police and N.G. units - I found that kind of chilling.

There is a push to bring immigrants into the military. They would be much more amenable to ‘disarming’ citizens, as they are not citizens themselves, and most likely have no love for the Constitution or liberty. They would be in it for the money, (citizenship offer), I’d bet.

I’d check the facts on that, not all the citizens of New Orleans were “willing”.
