Fighter jets scrambled after UFO follows plane over Athens: jets were scrambled to intercept a UFO

The object was spotted by the pilot of Olympic Airways flight 266 from Athens, and the sighting was corroborated by staff at Athens Airport and a nearby Greek air force base. Pilots of two other passenger jets also reported seeing the body.The eyewitnesses described it as looking like a large star, although it was moving erratically and constantly changing shape.Two fighter jets were sent to investigate the sighting over the Greek capital in November 2007 but the object shot up into the sky and vanished before they could get a clear view.

DEAR ATS MEMBERS:

It looks like someone has finally sent me that figurative "Brown, Unmarked Envelope" to me for ATS member perusal and possible amusement.

On the morning of Friday, May 8, 2009, I received an unusual email to my personal zr4@hotmail.com account which had ABSOLUTELY NO IP ADDRESS or HEADER information at all and NO RETURN ADDRESS which is basically AN IMPOSSIBLE EVENT for MICROSOFT HOTMAIL accounts.

The ONLY way this could have happened is if someone DIRECTLY embedded an email entry into the Microsoft Jet-type/MS-SQL low level structure of the Hotmail database system and deleting any header information at MICROSOFT itself...or if my Hotmail email login session was actively monitored and modified as I downloaded my emails from the Hotmail Server to my local computer which is in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

This letter was very interesting in that it has no name or attached identification information. IMHO it is written in a style similar to someone with a technical writing background using a clipped and to-the-point writing style. IMHO, it is definitely from the United States and NOT Canada or Britain due to the lack of Canadianisms and Britishisms within the text and due to the inclusion of certain Internet speakisms, I believe the author to be under the age of 35.

I also believe the author to be at least familiar with military speakisms if not actually a member of a military fraternity but I simply cannot be sure if they haven't been simply reading military speak up on the web. I did some preliminary Wikipedia and Internet dictionary lookups on specific words and phrasing within the email message and so far some of the text entries look at the very least plausible in manner and tone.

Luckily as part of my usual practice, I did a local cut and paste to Windows Notepad after reading and before closing the Hotmail window!

The text in the next post below is EXACTLY AS RECEIVED IN MY EMAIL. It is a direct cut and paste from the Hotmail email window over to a Windows Notepad file. I should note that I have done hard carriage returns/linefeeds so that the text wraps properly within the ATS window.

The original text seemed to have originally been done in a word processor which only adds a hard CRLF at the end of a paragraph and not at the end of each single line of text which allows varying margins word wrap to take place as a user resizes a text window. I manually added the CRLF after each line of about 80 characters so that I could see the text in its entirety on a line by line basis.

I originally checked the Hotmail options to show the entire header which was ABSOLUTELY EMPTY with NONE of the usual IP address original/forwarding/server info that normally shows up. Unfortunately I set my Firefox cache to delete it's contents after closedown, so I could not retrieve the original deleted Hotmail web page source code cache to peruse by using Norton Undelete or similar to examine the recovered contents and stupid me mea culpa overwrote the cache that was already deleted by continuing to surf the net on other matters later on in the day. Sorry about that!

In the early 1980's and specifically in 1982, a special operations group was started after consultation with then President Ronald Reagan, and Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger in cooperation with a secretive group within the DIA (aka Defense Intelligence Agency) after reports that UFO's, some with living or dead EBE occupants, began inexplicably crashing in Alaska, Northern British Columbia, Yukon, Ohio, Arizona, Northern Mexico and also internationally in Norway, the African continent, Argentina, Colombia . . . Brazil.

These events were investigated whereupon crash debris . . . entities were retrieved using existing Special Operations Forces (aka SOF) such as the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (aka 1st SFOD-D - Delta Force) and other high level, vetted for security clearance Combat Engineering Teams. During some of the recovery operations, turf wars were fought between the SAP (aka Special Access Program) groups internal of the NSA, CIA, DIA and a few other agencies within each arm of the Department of Defense over who had access to and custody of the retrieved goods and entities.

The resulting inefficiencies became an operational nightmare after certain crash events became "media fodder" and magnets for the local, national and international press, in addition to the ruckus raised by local military commanders close to the "Areas of Operation" who became aware of specific retrieval events and were chagrined at their exclusion to the festivities.

Upon the presentation of a 7 month, 130-plus page Estimate of the Situation Report and "Eyes-Only" Situation Report (aka SitRep) presented to Ronald Reagan and DefSec Caspar Weinberger, a series of recommendations was brought forth to allocate monies for and to outline the formation of a highly specialized series of recovery teams that were thoroughly vetted to high levels of security clearance and had both fast operational deployment capability and clandestine logistical support embedded within. Initially, these teams were based in and designated only for Areas of Operation within the Continental United States and the country and territories of Canada. It was only until the extremely large Fiscal Year 1987 291 Billion-Dollar Defense Budget (aka Equivalent to 551 Billion Dollars in 2009 using CPI method) was passed, did Ronald Reagan sign a Classified Department of Defense Directive allowing the formation of multiple teams based domestically and in foreign nations that had the local authority to act in a coordinated manner without oversight or interference from any other U.S. intelligence agency or DOD department other than the President, DefSec, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Presidential appointees overseeing and directing the retrieval teams.

Initially, all team members were vetted and culled from then current Delta Force operatives and the vetted Defense Intelligence Agency (aka DIA) personnel until 1988 when specialized and heavily vetted operational Combat Engineering types, Transport . . . Logistics Support personnel and Biological . . . Medical Evaluation and Measurement . . . Signature Intelligence personnel were added to aid in the effectiveness of Alien Entity and Technology retrievals. Specialized HumInt (aka Human Intelligence) from the DIA and NRO (aka National Reconnaissance Office) Imaging . . . Analysis personnel were also added later to document and analyze immediate Areas of Operation that allowed the forensic-level recording . . . preservation of immediate evidentiary . . . scene analysis data at crash or contact sites to aid the tracking of global crash and contact cases and to predict future areas of interest . . . operation -- and again this is on a global basis!

The recovery teams, while using all available intelligence assets within any usable . . . available DOD group and operatives from within the NSA, DIA . . . CIA, were designed to be completely autonomous from those groups and used the secrecy of the compartmentalization that is intrinsic to such intelligence assets to allow no external group access to or the ability to make sense of all available information . . . gathered intelligence data from the recovery teams. In most cases, external personnel are given specific sub-sets of data to work on but never see the entire picture and thus cannot obtain a clear overall . . . objective overview of the alien entity . . . technology recovery program.

. In late 1989 and early 1990, President George Bush (aka Bush 41) signed another DOD Directive allowing vetted personnel to be transferred and assigned from the NSA, DIA . . . CIA and from current Special Forces directly over to the recovery teams in one of 4 operational Global Recovery Centers based in Maryland, California . . . Nevada, Australia and England that are tasked with the coordination of logistics and personnel to allow the rapid covert recovery and transport of alien entities and technology back to specific "Holding and Evaluation Centers" within the United States.

Each team is sub-divided into two assigned specialties: ========================================================= EBE-RT (aka pronounced as Eee-Bert) Extraterrestrial Biological Entity Recovery Team ETECH-RT (aka pronounced Eee-Tek-Are-Tee) Extraterrestrial Technology Recovery Team =========================================================

. which are assigned two very different tasks which have very different logistical and intelligence support assets behind them.

EBE-RT teams are tasked with the observation, engagement and, if necessary, recovery of extraterrestrial biology which can include living or dead alien beings and. . . any alien fauna and. . . other living or biological-based artifacts or environments.

Specific protocols dealing with rules-of-engagement, protection and prevention of disease . . . infection are outlined to and practised by all team members on a continuous basis. Other protocols for initial . . . continuing contact, infiltration and. . . survey of facilities, bases . . . quarters were also created and tasked to each singular recovery team which were then allowed to build up an experience database that is then disseminated to all other recovery teams on an ongoing basis.

While containing specific and experienced subject matter experts, these recovery teams are tasked much like EMT (aka Emergency Medical Team . . . Ambulance Personnel) which is to, as quickly as possible, recover alien biologically-based items, fauna . . . entities and bring them back to the United States for further observation and analysis.

The ETECH-RT teams have a slightly different directive which is to, as quickly as possible, recover any hard technologically based items such as spacecraft, undersea craft, facilities, clothing, infrastructure, gear, goods, devices, weapons, or any other type of hard-technology items in a secure and clandestine manner for further evaluation by specifically assigned laboratories and test facilities based in the United States mainland. These teams usually have no interaction with alien entities other than to obtain information that would allow them to recover and transport hard goods and devices back to the evaluation centers.

A secondary task assigned to the ETECH-RT teams is the exploration of and preservation of immediate evidence using Audio, Video . . . Multispectral recording devices of the current area of interest. This is not an advanced search and explore mission but instead a general survey . . . mapping and recording of the current locale using multiple recording systems to capture 2D . . . 3D Audio, Video . . . Multispectral imaging data that is then sent to another combined and highly specialized EBE-RT . . . ETECH-RT team which can be assigned for weeks or months at a time to explore and analyze a specific area of interest which can and does include going "Off-World" or into "Other-Space".

It is a specific sub-task of both the EBE-RT . . . ETECH-RT recovery teams to be tasked with not only the entry and security of obvious "Hard Locales" but also entry into and directed operations within locales that have been described as being in nebulous "N-Space" and "Inter-Dimensional Space" that is difficult to describe within the context of daily 3D human experience.

It is only within the last decade that ORRE (aka Observe, Record, Report . . . Engagement) protocols have addressed specific instances and. . . possibilities when operating within non-Euclidean operational spaces. Again, as an experience-base is analyzed and inventoried, individual teams then disseminate that operational experience to all other recovery teams to aid in their own recovery efforts and to alleviate or mitigate specific issues within any individual team recovery effort.

As experience within recovery operations has been built up, a large database of textual, audio and visual materiel has been indexed and made available for training of active personnel and for training of recovery team inductees as older team members retire or become otherwise unavailable due to injury, disablement or death.

On a general operational basis, it is remarkable that there have been very few (aka less than a few tens of) active field personnel and. . . operatives that have been injured, disabled or killed in the line of duty since 1982. It is an objective reflection of the professionalism of the active-duty personnel themselves and of the effectiveness of the intense training that they have received which is highlighted by the very low rate of attrition due to active duty personnel disablement and death. Active and previous personnel have made me aware that the intensity and high-level attention to detail of their initial and active recovery team training far surpasses the already intense nature of their initial special operations forces induction training. I opine that it is a credit to these members that the general public is still blissfully unaware of the existence and history of EBE-RT . . . ETECH-RT operations.

Poland UFO Disclosure - Col. Grundmanem say “UFO files got stolen”

The Polish disclosure, was the UFO file stolen?
Many new facts about UFO data gathering in this unique disclosure interview with Col. Grundmanem, the former head of “Air Traffic, Air Force and Air Defense”, who was responsible for gathering reports regarding UFOs.

The Polish air forces gather and analyze PRL reports on the pilots’ meetings with unidentified flying objects. In the folder named “The Unknown” gathered dozens of reports. In the 1990’s Invaluable data disappeared.
This is an Interview with Col. Ryszard Grundmanem. Col. Grundmanem was the former head of “Air Traffic, Air Force and Air Defense”, who gathered reports regarding UFOs.

Do you know that when people hear about flying objects they respond with polite smiles?
I know. However, military pilots, who saw with their own eyes unidentified flying object, are far from the laughter. They do not say that the meeting was with extraterrestrials, but nevertheless they feel that something which can’t be reasonably explained happened to them. Imagine that during a military flight, the pilot see a strange machine with blinking lights shaped like a “saucer” begins to execute maneuvers contradicting to the laws of physics. Is it normal?

I do not know. Such cases actually occurred?
In 1980’s, when I was Head of Air Traffic Services, Air Force and Air Defense, reports about objects whose behavior is unexplained, were received on a relatively frequent basis. By the end of my service at 1992, we had at least several dozen reports. All landed in a special folder “on the unexplained.” Together with Colonel George Topolnickim, then my immediate superiors, we tried to analyze them, but little can be done only with the disposals of dry pilot report. We recognized, however, that if we do not understand something, it does not say that for the next 50 years to come no one will be able to explain these phenomena. I could not close an eye on events that could endanger the safety of flights. That was my role of service.

Did no one in the Polish army gather reports of UFO?
I was the first military who became interested in this subject seriously. If you put the reporting matter in the hands of an experienced military pilot, an officer, suspecting that it is difficult for lack of competence in the assessment of weather, land vehicles and aircraft appearance, he will not throw it into the trash. Military instructions did not include a UFO of course; because of the introduction date for the official document would be tantamount to the fact that the existence of unidentified flying objects is recognized not only by the Polish army, but also by the entire armed forces of the Warsaw Pact. The provisions of the military were standardized throughout the Agreement. No one, however, prohibited the collection of data on the strange phenomena of the sky. I did this and I hope that my work will continue.

And it continued?
Unfortunately it did not continue. No one in the Polish army deals with today unidentified flying objects. Urologists sometimes say that our army is concealing information about UFO. They do not hide it because it does not exist. After I left, the staff stopped the systematic collection of reports on the subject. Too bad. Armies of the west investigating unusual phenomena, and the Russians do it as well.

And what happened to reports gathered?
After my retirement, the folder disappeared.

Disappeared?
It disappeared. I do not have it.

And what became of it?
I do not know. Maybe someone took the reports light headed and did not treat the matter seriously. I wish they continued to collect these types of data; it would be available data covering the period of more than 20 years. One might be tempted by their analysis and try to catch the emergence of regularity on the behavior and unidentified flying objects. And so, since there is no material there is nothing to be analyzed.

When you did first got a report about encounter between military aircraft with an unidentified flying object?
I do not remember the exact date, but most data is related to events from the night of December 11 1982, when radar stations from different parts of Poland started to inform the detection of moving objects with great speed. In total, over our territory 16 were observed. Aircraft got an order to intercept the objects, but its equipment failed to locate the targets. The strange objects appeared in East Germany, Czechoslovakia and the eastern part of the Soviet Union. I was afraid that it would start to attack NATO. In this case, we do not have to deal with the observation of a single pilot, but an event that launched the whole military machine and involved hundreds of people. All could not be fault. And the more it could not be faulty radar.

Radar Stations often detect these types of objects?
No, most did not detect anything. Radar only sometimes gets the full picture. During the 1955 Warsaw Pact exercises, a radar station in the area of Warsaw recognized two targets over the Gulf of Gdansk. The targets were moving at a speed of 2,300 km/h at an altitude of 20 thousand meters. In those days there was no aircraft with such performance. At one point it was noticed that the two objects did a 90 degrees turn, literally on the spot with no turning radius. This maneuver at such high speeds cannot be done. Most modern aircraft are unable to do so even today, and that was 50 years ago.

And what happened to those objects?
They continued to Lithuania, then hovered around Lviv and then disappeared from the screens of the station. And no one has sent fighters to attempt to capture the object. But in autumn 1983, for example, an object in the shape of “cigar” was prosecuted first by two helicopters, and then by Su-20 fighter.

What happened then?
The objects in the shape resembling a cigar were flying at high speed, low level. Two helicopters were sent in pursuit behind him and we alarmed the military airport at Powidzu. The helicopters, however, were not able to reach the object before it got to Powidzu. This “something” could be excluded as an electrical equipment fault or fault in communications. The object started shining, and the “cigar” at Powidzu was seen by a dozen soldiers. The object came towards the city. And base in Krzesiny sent a fighter to intercept. But the pilot was unable to track the object and it was “lost.”

The military commission who investigated the incident listened to all the witnesses. The report did not contain any final conclusions. It was found that the material should be subjected to further analysis and special attention at the show that similar types of events. Behaved so vigilant, especially that the reporting of the strange objects was not only by pilots.

Many focus on the abduction part of the Betty and Barney Hills case. Their story was, without doubt, the most famous of all abduction reports. The problem with focusing on their abduction is sometimes the initial sighting is glossed over.

Betty and Barney not only witnessed a UFO at very close range, but also Barney witnessed entities on board the craft while fully awake. The evolution of this case and Bluebook initial explanations are prime examples of how the government and debunkers can cherry pick the testimony of a UFO witness to make it fits a conventional explanation, I thought I had heard everything about the Hills’ case but I hadn’t and I wonder how well the reader would do on the Hills’ initial sighting facts.

For instance, how many of you knew that the craft Betty and Barney witnessed had retractable wings? Interestingly, when they were expanded they had a red light on each wing; sound familiar?

How many of you know that, while he was fully awake, Barney saw humanoids on the craft and that one smiled at him. This was completely apart from the hypnotic regression memories.

Barney had taken out his binoculars to view the object better when he watched a group of beings watching him back. None of them showed emotion, except one, who smiled at Barney as if it knew he could see his face.

How many of us knew the Bluebook initial written report’s explanation, “temperature inversion,” was discarded and investigators penciled in two other explanations on the report; settling on “not enough information”.

Betty and Barney arrived home and reported the sighting the next day. They called Peace Air force base to report it. In their initial phone conversation with the base Barney left out the humanoid part because he thought they would think he was a crackpot. But later, when a Major Henderson returned the call, Barney told him more details. It seems the Major, by his reaction, wasn’t surprised.

Their sighting that night could have been reported yesterday; it began so typically. What first brought their attention to the sky as they drove alone on a New Hampshire road was a very bright object at a 45 degree angle, the shape of the light was “different” (later they realized it was because it was oblong in shape) and the “luminosity was very intense compared to the surrounding stars”.

They stopped the car and watched it change direction abruptly, it hovered, it’s movement erratic at times. The Object, when first sighted, was the size of a nickel at arms length, but ended up being the size of a pie plate. It flew down toward them in what has been described as steps. There was no sound.

. The first explanation Project Bluebook (PB) put forth was an advertising blimp. It was a way to at least explain the intensity of the light. But that proved to be ridiculous and unfounded. One of the other theories touted by debunkers was the planet Jupiter which I think should have been laughed off the explanation list.

When everything else fails there is always the favorite to tout out, “temperature inversion.” These explanations are really put out there for the lame and those that need to believe it’s not real. I can’t believe the Air Force and Project Bluebook people would personally swallow that claptrap.

If it is true Project Bluebook actually believed their explanations then they made the same mistake as many UFO researchers and debunkers make, They filtered out any of the witness testimony that completely cancelled out their explanation, . If these debunkers accepted only that part of a testimony that can be explained, why then accept any of the testimony.

Think about what was done in this case, and what is done today, the testimony of witnesses at their closest range to the object is discounted. Strange detailed encounters lead most people to concentrate on what they see even more and to try to explain it in a prosaic manor. “Barney still believed what he was seeing had a rational explanation.” The UFO came so close that Barney could see the humanoids in the windows of the craft without binoculars, describing them as an “inch long at arms length”; Jupiter?

Barney Hill was far removed from UFOs as a person can be. He was postal worker and a civil rights activist, and let me tell you in the 1960 that was dangerous. A black man married to a white woman could get you beat up or even killed. But if it is true that ET’s read a person mind, and pick those they want far in advance, then the Hills were a good example of the best the human race can offer. Those who put there lives on the line for something larger than themselves.
