My son and I have laughed at the “green” projects on HGTV. We've lived that way for generations. The liberals are just figuring it out. We garden, recycle, care for the land etc.
I live in a barn with floors made from the local school gym floor, heat with wood, plant many trees and plants friendly to wild life each year, have a tin roof and generally “Conserve” whenever possible....that's what conservatives do!
Liberals are late getting on the bus.
Welcome to the thread....

That is the best way to approach conservation (or ecology as they now call it)... People who have a vested interest in their land, who live on it, improve it, depend on it, care for it are far better than remote liberal PhD’s who ‘theorize’ as to the best use and practices, statistically analyze things but who couldn’t put it into actual practice successfully themselves if they had to.
Again, welcome to the thread - we look forward to your experience sharing, questions, and general participation.
Granny keeps us all motivated and is a wealth of information.

As do I.
I called myself an “Organic Gardner” back in the early 1960’s and had started earlier than that.
Now they identify me as a “Rodale “ follower which is an honor, for he spent a lifetime teaching organic.
As for recycling, that I have done all my life, it was always fun to go to the dump with my dad, for he too could find things to re-use at the ‘city - exchange’.
Welcome to the thread, we need more of you to share your experiences and current actions, that is how we learn.
I would have to be really hungry, before I ate soy cheese again.
