I think he must just be remembering the bad stuff, because it cant be THAT bad. Ummm, yes it can. The weather in NYS is early winter, mid-winter, late winter, and construction.
The summers can be nice but July and Aug can get pretty hot and oppressive. You can NEVER count on decent weather for any event.
However, we have an adequate growing season, grow great apples and grapes. The climate is good for them.

LOL! I have a friend from MN - says the seasons there are winter and road repair. ;)

Hubby has talked about that a lot. That any outdoor event can be suddenly cancelled. That's why he likes S CA weather so much - rarely can we not go outside, even in the mountains in the winter (with snowboots, of course)

corn too? He has a love of sweet corn from growing up there.
