The weather in NYS is early winter, mid-winter, late winter, and construction.
LOL! I have a friend from MN - says the seasons there are winter and road repair. ;)
You can NEVER count on decent weather for any event.
Hubby has talked about that a lot. That any outdoor event can be suddenly cancelled. That's why he likes S CA weather so much - rarely can we not go outside, even in the mountains in the winter (with snowboots, of course)
However, we have an adequate growing season, grow great apples and grapes.
corn too? He has a love of sweet corn from growing up there.

NY is actually quite an agricultural state. We can and do grow anything that doesn’t require a long growing season or is not really cold intolerant.
