Whew!

Haven't posted in for a couple of weeks... been hard at it getting this gulch up and running! The snow is mostly gone, and have had some truly righteous Sunshiny days this week... the soil is finally getting soft enough to work (YAY!). Speaking of Righteous... Happy (belated) Easter!

Am waiting for the tractor to hydraulic press down the garden area, still clearing trees and brush (Oh my aching back)! There is so much work to do that I haven't been tracking FR much, let alone this thread...

Have unboxed the grinder DelaWhere, but need to roll into town to pick up some peanuts and stuff to try out in it, so no report on that yet... Mrs. Outrider is keeping me on a short leash so I'm spending a lot of time upgrading the living quarters! Plenty of small jobs, and I'm loving every minute of it... still trying to figure out how some of the equipment works (i.e. the hard water softener has me baffled and there are no instructions on how it works!).

Well, it's back to bed for this cowboy, BIG day ahead! Hope all is going well for all of you!

LOL I know that situation.... Peanut Butter can wait...

Amazing that I have way more things to do in retirement than I did before... Never bored, never without something interesting to do.

Hmmm, trying to visualize that... ???

Thanks for the update. Glad you are settling in, and most importantly, enjoying it immensely. You are on quite an adventure.

(BTW, consider jotting down some notes daily about what you did, so you can write us a short story - or novel - someday about your experiences.)

I’d like to hear your opinion on your grinder as well - I’m considering getting that model myself for when the grid is gone or sporadic.

Happy Easter to you two.

Glad you checked in and are having fun, now that you are retired, there is no excuses for husbands who do not complete the “Honey Please Do This” list.
