I know I missed a lot of Dela Where’s friends, but I did try.
Dela Where’s daughter is ill and in the hospital.
Freeper prayers are called for, they are powerful and important to many Freepers and never more so, than for this child and the family.
Your prayers are needed now.

U.S. - Currently the United States is in the midst of one of the largest food recalls in American history. As Americans dig through their cabinets and refrigerators to remove potentially contaminated food associated with the recent peanut recall, FEMA would like to also remind citizens to open and check their Emergency Preparedness Kits to remove any potentially harmful items from these also.
Because peanut products are often recommended as staples in Emergency Preparedness Kits due to their long shell life and because they are a good source of protein, we encourage all kit owners to look at their kits to ensure food products are not on the peanut recall list. Please keep in mind that the peanut product recall extends beyond peanut-flavored products. The following are some examples of foods also included in the recall that may contain peanuts:
* Granola
* Snack bars
* Crackers
* Cereal
* Trail Mix
* Cookies
* Noodles
* Dog treats
A full list of recalled peanut products and what individuals should do with recalled items can be found on the Food and Drug Administrationʼs Web site, http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/peanutbutterrecall/index.cfm .
In addition to checking for peanut-related items, please be sure to check for other items in your kit that may have expired, including medications, food and pet food, water, and other recalled items. The U.S. government provides information on unsafe, hazardous, or defective products ranging from consumer products, food, medicine, and cosmetics at www.recalls.gov .
Ensuring family and neighbors are prepared is an essential step in helping communities during and after an emergency. Families should have an Emergency Preparedness Kit in all locations that are frequented often, including homes, offices, schools, cars and day care facilities. These kits should hold a variety of essential items that are needed during a disaster, such as a flashlight, radio, cash, clothing, protective equipment, medicines, and of course food and water. For a complete list of Emergency Preparedness Kit recommended items, please visit

Ruth,
Thank you so much for putting out the prayer request.
The Lord gives special response to FReeper Prayers...
Status update... Just got back from day at hospital - Everything looking UP! Medication has halted all seizure activity. They are now successfully dealing with some other issues in her medication.
While she is still in Intensive Care, she is scheduled to be moved to a regular room in the morning. For the first time she is more concerned with when she can come home than being so sick.
She had some severe problems twice during the seizures - one as soon as they put her in the ambulance for transport to the Childrens Hospital- she was not breathing on her own for 13 minutes following the seizure - they had to bag her the whole time and only very very slowly did she finally start breathing with a very shallow breath and gradually picked up. Trauma teams from both hospitals were in full contact with what was happening in the ambulance with both voice, data and video constantly. Communications are fantastic. The Transport trauma team is also the absolute best. However, we were on pins and needles for the whole trip.
She had another series of them after we arrived at the A.I. duPont hospital - they had a total of 13 people working on her and I think 7 were MDs. They certainly have a super staff up there and they work with each patient like the Mayo Clinic does - a whole team and then they all discuss each case and consider all options before deciding on course of action. But during a crisis, they know their part and really are Gods Miracle Workers.
Sorry I dont have time right now to thank each and everyone for their prayers - please pass on my gratitude for me.
Look forward to getting back in the swing of preparedness with everyone.
p.s. Ran into WalMart to pick up a couple of things early this morning for Christi. Cashier was commenting on how many were shopping and buying large quantities of food and preparedness items... He said What are they expecting? Armageddon? I simply told him that it was much better to be prepared than sorry... It was his decision to make, and he was going to have to live with that decision... He really gave me a puzzled look when I said that.
One of the nurses aides who was monitoring Christi said she had heard me talking to one of the others and wanted to ask me what she was doing wrong in canning her tomatoes - - She wasnt adding any lemon juice for acid or vitamin C and she was only processing them for 5 or 10 minutes... Couldnt figure why they didnt seal and why they were funky when she opened them... (Of course I wrote out the steps for her and the reasons along with the proper hot bath method and times...)
Seems people are awakening!
Thanks again,
Cal
