The man that bought our horses in Ramona, allowed us on his ranch, to see the gathering spot for the Indian women, where they did their grinding.
In a grove of huge trees, there were several large almost flat granite boulders, just the right height to sit on, and they were full of grinding holes.
I didn’t count them, but could see that there might well be
50 to a 100 holes, several boulders.
