I didn't know there were different kinds of sagebrush.

But whatever they have around Santa Barbara is killer for me. There were times I was blinded enough by the allergies that I couldn't drive. (Fortunately these occurred in "short" bursts of up to a half-hour.)

Most people don’t know sage has a variety. Here, we have the yellow and the purple. There are quite a few other varieties around the world, but all have the distinctive “sage” smell and taste when added to food. Some leaves are stronger than others.
