Only 151 weeks now to the Iowa Caucus. (PALIN 2012)

Posted on 01/28/2009 5:44:08 AM PST by Cringing Negativism Network

How they do things in Alaska:

"FAIRBANKS - A more efficient government, or reduced legislative power?

Those are two views of lawmakers as the Alaska Legislature enters its second year of a shorter session.

Residents in 2006 voted to shrink the 121-day session to 90 days in a move to limit the size of government and encourage efficiency.

An interesting aside:

Evidently Alaska has a problem with over-fed RINOs mooing and getting in the way there, as well.

The legislator claiming the shorter session reducing the size of government is a bad thing is ... wait for it.

A REPUBLICAN.

On a brighter note, the legislator saying "Phooie" to that claim, is another Republican. :)

It's up to Palin to get the grass-roots support going, to mount the organization, to appeal to voters and get them excited.

For one thing, she won't have the McLame Chain holding her down. Hopefully, she'll limit her interviews to talk radio and Fox News (Bill "Ted Baxter" O'Reilly only after he does appropriate groveling). Then she needs to continue with her work in Alaska as Governor and add some good things to her resume' (trust me, the National Democrat Party will be doing everything to foil her every move up there). Then, maybe hire some true Reagan Children and Limbaugh Babies to help her run her campaign, NOT "seasoned professionals" that all want to cash a big paycheck and go to the cool parties held by Sally Quinn.

The eagerness of so many on our side to immediately organize a “circular firing squad” and attack any candidate who begins to stand out from the rest, is frustrating and counter-productive beyond description.

This poster is reminded of the analogy, of a bucket of crabs.

Anytime one of the crabs in the bucket starts to climb out — they are immediately grabbed by, the other less motivated crabs still stuck in the bucket, and pulled back in...

Agreed, and keep in mind that other potential candidates, like Huck and Mitt, already have their paid operatives out trying cause trouble for Governor Palin as well. In another post this morning, a couple of Huck supporters showed up and tried to throw some cold water on her. And the Mittbots have been attacking her non-stop since even before the election.

Palin needs a credible platform that will get her attention. Family is fine, but she needs something very strong like Energy!!! She needs to align herself to be the
Person who saves us from Foreign take over of energy and start going around the world!!! She needs to be on the cover of serveral magazines and start hangin with the big guns. Exposure besides the tabloid is what she needs. People need to take her serious and she will need to drop the Red Neck image and also the sweet mom appeal, Its time to roll up her sleeves and play hardball. We all know what she is like now, she is sweet she is a Christian, she is a devoted mom.....Now we really need to see the Barracuda!

Palin's platform should be simple: Energy, National Defense, Lower Taxes, and Fiscal Responsibility.

Those will be the winning issues in 2012 after four years of Obama's wrecking ball.

I was sickened to see that the McCain/Palin 08 bumper sticker pulled off paint on my bumper.
I now have 3 choices.

1) Drive around with the defect,
2) Spend about $300-$500 to get the bumper repainted,
3) Hide it with a Palin 2012 sticker

I hate driving around with that blemish on the bumper. And although option #2 would normally help stimulate the economy, I really dont think it will help the body shop much with the Democrats going after that business owners taxes, causing him to layoff some workers. Soooooo

Anyone have a good source for Palin 2012 stickers?

Some former Reagan and Bush Sr administration officials are in the background counselling and mentoring our Sarah. They know she is a real deal. They are taking all the right steps right now(like formualting a legal entity SarahPAC). They are seasoned professionals that know when to push the right buttons. Besides, I am sure Obama will start showing his true colors after a few months. Then, the conservative movement will start growing legs and put Sarah in the top.

You are right, but she must get off the Mommy and Me appeal!
Time to show her intelligence and knowledge in all these areas. She is a strong and competent lady, we allowed the GOP men to use her as a Barbie Doll Candidate.....It has to take a different road....And never, ever go on Saturday Night live!

Depending on who they are, this could be the kiss of death. Sarah needs wise counsel, not anchors. PS. Everyone--CALL (don't email) your House reps and tell them no on the bailout bill. Your children, grandchildren and posterity will thank you some day.

I'm pretty down on Team Sarah these days since I have my suspicions about the motivations and competence of the site's owners and mods.

I joined up over Christmas, had a blast there for a couple of weeks, but then got attacked by one of the owners when I tried to bring a potential problem to their attention. They've got some serious issues that they absolutely refuse to address, and ultimately, I fear that the site will come to hurt Governor Palin more than it will help her in the long run. Just my humble opinion.

Then she needs to rid herself of them, at least the Bush people, since they will do everything they can to push her left to try and gain non-existent "moderate" and "independent" votes. No Bush hanger-ons, especially those now wanting to jump on her bandwagon while looking for a job.

Governor Palin needs to develop her own team of advisors, people who are personally loyal to her, and do not have the stink of Bush-RINO beltway politics.

It’s a pretty simple thing to make your own bumper sticker.

The method I’ve worked out (it avoids the peeled paint thing) is to find or photoshop a graphic you want for your sticker. Any .jpg or photo image will do. It helps if you finish whatever image you end up with, with a narrow strip around the outside of the image, in a color similar to the color of your bumper. (that way you can use sizzors to cut your sticker to fit, and it will still look professional)

Go to Office Depot and buy a pack of Bumper Stickers. They sell Bumper Sticers - complete with peel-off backing, just like they sell business envelopes, or whatever. It’s in the section with the papers, transparencies, etc.

Spin your desired graphic image 90 degrees and save it somewhere on a floppy, your computer, wherever. Then insert it into a document, on the left or the right of center. The Bumper Sticker stock is seamed down the middle.

Then insert another one on the other side. Expand or resize the images to your liking.

Now: You probably want to print a test print. So you don’t waste a relatively more expensive bumper sticker on your testing. Work out any issues.

Then print your sticker. If you put two on the page, you’ll have a spare.

Once your sticker is printed, before you trim it, spray the entire front of the sticker page, with a coat of clear acrylic spray paint, like Krylon (thanks to another FReeper for that idea). Don’t spray it too thick.

Then cut out your newly minted sticker.

Finally, one more coat of spray acrylic including a quick coat on the edges. Then you’re done. Go make a statement!

The spray coating if you’re not mistreating it, seems to keep the sticker well protected for a month or two at least - by that time, you can remove it (before it begins to decide it’s in charge of your bumper) and use your spare... :)
