London: The Queen and Prince Philip have taken a keen interest in the mysterious crop circles, thought by many to be created by extraterrestrial beings, it has been revealed. The letters from the Queen's private secretary show that the couple asked to be kept informed about the weird farmland patterns, reports the Sun.A scientist who has studied the phenomenon in depth claims that Philip had newsletters on the subject sent to Buckingham Palace while the Queen had his book Circular Evidence on the subject on one of her summer reading lists.

That is the Mayan Calendar crop circle.

fairly interesting stuff.

Except why would an advanced civilization stamp out messages in corn fields? One would think they would have invented intergalactic wireless internet or cell phones.

I don’t think it’s outlandish to think that there might be aliens flying around somewhere in the far reaches of space, but I don’t think they’re wasting their time making crop circles. Come on.

I am sure they traveled all over the world creating crop circles in several different countries per night. I don’t think 2 guys have been doing that for 30 years or so either.

I doubt they are made by UFO’s but two old guys in England didn’t make all of them

Well if Scotland Yard can’t solve this, there’s these two guys and girls with a van and a Great Dane I know that can.

One really does not HAVE to be that ignorant about the whole thing.

The two drunks with rope and boards cannot—even with several bars full of buddies . . . CANNOT

BEGIN to do what’s been done.

Then there’s the peer reviewed scientific journal articles attesting to the authenticity of the TRUE crop circles by virtue of a number of scientifically verified measures quite different from surrounding fields or hoaxed fields.

But, hey, enjoy the ignorance. There’s evidently plenty to go around.

Better research

could prevent one from flinging foolish fingers fickle-ly flying over keyboards in embarrasing ways.

I’m sure they are not the only ones, do you think they were? They did show how they could be done, though.

Besides, real crop circles were first documented in the 1800’s, long before Doug and Tom (I think that’s their names).

I’ve done a few UFO hoaxes, but not crop circles, and I’m not the only one who does them. Properly done, they are very amusing to read about in the newspaper.

Do you have links to the peer-reviewed articles?

And please, Quix, don’t call me ignorant. I have never shown you disrespect.

As for what can and can’t be done by humans, I have great faith in the artistic ability of them and have no doubt that great field sculptures can be concieved and implemented by them, even in one night. Once you have the technique of making a mark in the field, the type of marks and their placement flows naturally.

BWAHAHAHA! The queen is a kook, she believes in UFO’s. OK, we knew she was a kook already.
