In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
pandiculation \pan-dik-yuh-LEY-shuhn\, noun
An instinctive stretching, as on awakening or while yawning
Example sentence:
"Pandiculate for Health! Grow Tall! Get Well! Be Young!" Exuberant ads like this, running in health-fad magazines since 1914, have proclaimed the virtues of a spine-stretching device called the "Pandiculator."
-- Time, 1942-04-12
Etymology:
By 1611, from French pandiculation from Latin pandiculari "to stretch oneself" and French suffix -ion.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
Or something Bear Grylls would suffer for the camera.
I'm confused as well. Were you originally a Sirius or an XM subscriber?
She withdrew because she wasn’t going to be picked, right? A for you.
And trust me, we don’t envy you guys. A for you.
i was Sirius first but most recently XM. i knew something was up, but wasn’t sure what. i thought maybe they had just willynilly changed the lineup and mixed up my presets accordingly, but then xsboy told me, no, they have combined so some of the titles of stations changed. i don’t know what Classic Rewind used to be on XM, but i think that’s Sirius title for whatever i used to have preset there.
I liked Rush’s rendition of it, with the sound of it being chiseled into marble in the background. A for you.
Did you notice the Ravenclaw tie and the wand?
LMAO! Yeah, that too.
Didn’t every girl grow up singing Carly’s songs? A+ for you. Now if I could only get this earworm out of my head, Let The River Run...
Did you manage to get your garage door fixed? What was the problem?
of course!
That wouldn't be premature pandiculation?
Norah was right the other day. Where are their cojones? I cannot believe the way they roll over in Washington. A+ for you, F- for the incompetent tax cheat Geithner and the idiots who vote to confirm him.
Obama’s slick articulation
Leaves me yawning with pandiculation
Though he speaks quite distinctly
Like Huntley or Brinkley
His words reek of capitulation
Is this an official ASH Alert?
You’re scary good Truthy. A+
it was the COLD! xshub and xsteen got on the road pretty early that day and left the garage door open behind them. by the time i went to close it, it wasn’t working, as i told you guys. I tried what i could and then called and set up the appt for the guys to come out, but they couldn’t come til Tues. So later that aft, when it was kind of sunny out, i tried again and it closed. I went out and did a few errands, came back and it would not open with the wall button. xsboy came home from school and it opened w/o a problem with the in car button, and closed with it as well. I haven’t had a problem since. so i figure it was just the ambient temp in the garage being single digits had it malfunctioning. it wasn’t the door itself it was the button.
someone’s feisty today!
It helps to read that post with a Jessie Jackson voice. That’s how I heard it in my head. Now I have a Living Color earworm of the skit about the prison guys talking.
