You are addded, NellieMae! :-)
This is a fun thread.
You are most welcome, tapatio! :-)
I agree, I think that when she does get it right we should mention that too.
Up close it does sort of look like a shroud.
Thank you, GOP_Lady. This is going to be good.
Thank you for adding me, I fear this is the only fun out of DC for four years.
I will miss Laura so much, she is a classy lady. I loved her Christmas tours of the White House.
Now we have n0 class.

Reagan revered the office and traditions of the office of President. From Day One, he never appeared in the Oval Office without jacket and tie. An aide one time noticed he was hot, was perspiring, and suggested he discard the jacket. “Oh, no,” said this president, “I could never take my coat off in this office.”
So that’s what the “E” in E.Coli stands for.
Very nice.
hoooo boy.
24 hours into the new administration and we have a second 500+ thread.
It’s going to be a long 4 years.
All officers should be prepared to put in overtime.
Your Deputy badge is at the top of the thread! :-)
That's what I was thinking. Hillary must be having a good laugh right now.
She’s wearing her wedding ring in that pic. Normally she doesn’t have one on.
It is a good looking dress,,,for spring, for a ladies luncheon, for a trip to the tropics.
She should have worn a dress with a jacket. This would have looked fine with a long black top down to just below hip line.
Poor Michelle,,she is not meant for Jimmy Choos and she is not fashion plate material. Who is going to tell her to stand up straight,,that would make all the difference.
She should wear mid-calf dresses with slim skirts. Those prints are very bad, look like what used to be called “house dresses”. And I think short hair keeping some natural curl would be much better.
A dress is fine for any old lady,,,but the first lady has to dress better, a suit or a long jacket, less skin.
I've been pndering the comparison as well, but something about the way you phrased it struck me with a possible reason.
My mother was an in house model for the designer Hattie Carnegie when JFK was a Senator and Jackie was among the clientele (as were the rest of the Bouvier women.) According to my mother, who more than once was the assigned model for her, she was among the most arrogant and insufferable of the clientele. My mother chalked it up to the Bouvier's being nouveau riche and not being "of" class.
I like that suit!
She wore flats with the church dress.
I just realized where I would wear this dress,,to a parent teacher conference, to a school play my kids were in or to sorority rush at one of the less dressy parties.
I love the dress and flats,,just not the occasion. Now with heels and a nice black jacket and a little bit of jewelry she would look great. She looks like a housewife dressing a bit for an occasion she doesn’t want to wear jeans to.
