Me too! And she thinks everyone is interested in her comments. Nobody cares! Seacrest only talks to the judges to kill time and to build suspense, not to hear a lecture. Even Paula knows that.

I’ve told this story before, but it’s so funny. My grandpa was involved with the movie industry from about the 40’s til the late 70’s/early 80’s. He has the funniest stories!

Anyway, in the one studio building they all had these super tiny offices. It was an area where all the tech people had offices (costume designers, sound people, set designers, lighting directors, writers, etc). They would leave their doors open and yell back and forth to each other.

One of the costume designers (all the costumers were gay men) brought in a cake for someone’s birthday. He yelled down to my grandpa, “Peter! Come have some cake!”

He yelled back, “What kind of cake?”

A third voice yelled, “Fruitcake. What else?”

Everyone (including the gay guys) all cracked up.

YOu know what I think woudl be a HOOT?! Have Karen Walker (Megan Mallaly) from Will and Grace be one of the judges LOL (that gal has a great set of pipes and is a fantastic talent besides being one of the funniest characters I have seen on TV in years! I hated that show, other than her lines!
