Okay, so only 4 from the first group move on? That sort of sucks. There are more then 4 really good people in that first group.

The good news is so is Tatiana, so her stay should be very short.

That's not how the wildcard works.

This year, 36 semifinalist will duke it out on air with hopes of advancing to the final 12. For three weeks, three contestants from each batch of 12 will advance on. After the first nine are selected, the Wild Card week will feature the judges rounding out the 12 with their three favorites of the remaining 27 contestants.

I checked the TV schedule for next week.

It looks like the semi-finals are going to be different this year.

Idol will be on two nights each week, instead of three.

And it looks like there won't be a girl's night/boy's night either.

During the next three Tuesday shows, a co-ed group of 12 will perform during a two hour show.

Then Wednesday night will be the results show.

NINE of the singers out of that group will be cut. Three will survive and (I guess) won't have to perform again until the Top 12. That seems dumb, if I'm reading it correctly.

Not Lil Rounds at the expense of one of the better singing folks that got cut.

So does that mean if one oddball singer, like Norman Gentle, has a good night and get's a lot of votes he's in the Top 12?
