Having said that, they would NOT have been able to save Daughtry with this new rule because Daughtry was eliminated at from the top 4! Simon assures us that this isn't reversing America's decision. Then what is it then? Well said. I don't even know why they're bothering to do this, unless it's for the drama. Does it really matter that much if a contestant comes in #5 or #9? As long as they're in the Top 10, they can go on the tour, and the type of career they have afterwards depends largely on their genre of music, luck, and/or the career choices they make.

Kelly is so cute. I wish she’d hook up with Carrie Underwood’s trainer. He/she transformed Carrie’s body into a sculpture. I think Carrie's being a vegetarian had a lot to do with that.
