Hi M.L. I thought you would be very interested in this. You will love it. I have suddenly taken a liking to the harp. It started a few days ago when I was listening to our classical music station when they were playing some harp accompaniment. And then on Friday, they played Rodrigo: Concierto De Aranjuez with Isabelle Moretti on harp and I was absolutely overwhelmed with enjoyment listening to the exquisite performance she did. I am getting ready to order that CD. Today I bought "The Most Relaxing Harp Album in the World....Ever", because I couldn't find Isabelle's CD locally.
I am also a big Vivaldi fan (a HUGE harpsichord fan while I am studying advanced calculus) and just bought a CD of the "100 Best of Vivaldi". I am loading up my music collection to listen to all day on America's next Day of Infamy on January 20, 2009.
I am even "just thinking" of contacting a local harpist for lessons! Just thinking, mind you.
Oh, I love Rodrigo. Glad you found it so enjoyable. da Falla is another favorite of mine (Spanish too, but slightly earlier than Rodrigo, I’m pretty sure.)
