Christmas is Jesus' birthday. The calendar started over 2000 years ago because Jesus the Son of God was born.
Praise be to him. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
A Merry and Blessed Christmas to everyone!
Are you sure it’s his birthday? Did you not listen to The Secret History of Christmas on Michael Medved’s show yesterday? If not, you should go get it and listen to it. Very fascinating how this holiday came to be.
Merry Christmas everyone!!! May God Bless you and yours throughout the coming year!!
Thank You for puting this in and Merry Christmas to All. I thank God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost in my prayers everyday.
A lady this week gave me a “Christmas Party” story. She had it translated from Spanish to English. I was going to post some of it but I left it at work. Basically it was about His Christmas Party that Jesus didn’t get an invitation to. He stood in the corner watch the activities, the drunk and the kids running up to a man in a red suit yelling “Santa Claus” He remarked that it was His birthday being celebrated but everyone else getting gifts. It concluded with Him leaving, and deciding to throw His own party....the party of all parties. Reservations only.
Merry CHRISTmas to all!
I think of all the things He never knew (or mentioned), pumpkins, potatoes, tomatoes, squash, white sugar, and ice cream lol. I'm sure he never ate pork or shellfish. And cars, trains, planes, computers, televisions, radios. Sometimes I wonder what he would think about all of that.
But we still have some things the same as He did.
Mine too:’)
You said — “Christmas is Jesus’ birthday. The calendar started over 2000 years ago because Jesus the Son of God was born.”
Well, I know that a lot of people are thinking about Jesus at this time of the year and that we show the manger scene at this time of the year, but I do not think that the Bible indicates that Jesus was born at this time of the year.
I believe that Jesus, as in the baby (and not the eternal Son of God) was conceived at this time of the year (at the time of the Festival of Lights), and at such time that the angel Gabriel visited Mary and told her the good news.
Jesus was born shortly after John the Baptist, and that could be at the time of Rosh Hashanah (or the Feast of Trumpets)... That fits the Bibles depiction of the events more precisely. The birth of Jesus at this time of the year is way off on several accounts.
Blessed Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday Jesus!
