Alll Riiight!!
Dude, you are so otaku!
In keeping with Apple’s corporate policy of being TOTALLY GAY, they will allow the iBoobs software on lesbians’ iPhones only. Men will be authorized the new iSpeedo software.
FYI
You said — “you mean to tell those who use other phones, apple acts as a GATEKEEPER to the applications on Iphones?”
Yes, they make it so that *all* applications (for the iPhone) go through the iPhone Store, and that means that all applications are presented — in the face — of every single iPhone user. All you have to do on the iPhone is touch on the iPhone store and you’ve got instant access to every iPhone application for the public.
Apple pays for all the costs for having the applications there and allowing user comments on the usefulness of whatever applications. They pay for the downloading costs.
The developer can set the price — ranging from free to whatever they want. There was an application that sold for $1,000, but Apple killed that application because it said nothing more than “I can afford to pay $1,000 for this application”... LOL... That’s all it did... That one was killed.
Once the developer sets the price, Apple gets 30% of the sale price and the developer gets 70%. If it’s a free application, then Apple doesn’t charge the developer anything for processing it through the store. I’ve got a lot of the free applications and they are just as good as any of them.
Apple also makes sure — by being a “GATEKEEPER” — that all the software will not be malware or put a virus on your iPhone or do anything that is not compatible with the operation of the phone itself. It’s making sure that the phone keeps operating as it should be and nothing will happen to the user’s phone.
This pretty much eliminates any kind of malware that would ever be attempted to put on the Apple iPhones. And Apple has protected the operation of these various applications from interfering (even inadvertently) with the operation of the basic phone and operating system itself. It’s possible for some writer to intrude upon areas of the operating system where it’s not supposed to be and open up the iPhone to malware, or even to bog down the system on the small processor that it has (not like a “desktop”... :-)...) so that it won’t operate properly with all the other applications.

You asked — “you cant write you own?”
Yes, you can write your own, if you want to. Apple has made provisions for companies to develop internal software that is specifically and *only* for their own employees and to be distributed to only those that the company allows. This gives companies a wide degree of latitude to do whatever they want with internal applications for their employees.
If you wanted to develop an application for only yourself, you could do that, too — but if you did develop something just for yourself — then you might as well put it on the iPhone Store and give it away (if you wanted) or charge something small for it (or even a larger price, if you wanted). But, the point is — you can develop for yourself, if you want to.
If you do develop for yourself, you won’t be able to “distribute it” (even to friends, unless you make them a “company” that works together with you...). But, if you’re intent on distributing the product to friends, you can just put it on the store, distribute it for no cost and let your friends pick it up that way. It won’t cost you anything to have it on the store.
And finally — “no third party inovation?”
Yes, all those applications that are shown on the iPhone store are third party innovations (i.e., software that they have developed). They do have to work within the parameters of what Apple has set up for the operation of the iPhone itself and so you can’t do *whatever* you want to do — without regard to the operation of the iPhone (because Apple is protecting that environment so it operates properly and doesn’t have malware on it).
Already, there has been a developer that sold a $5 application, who made 1/4 of a million dollars in three months. He was a single developer, making the application, himself. I believe he’s “expanded” now... LOL...
Oh my....
This is the best thread ever!
The end of civilization as we know it. :(
(No need to have it display twice on the same thread.)
That's just.... entrancing.
I keep watching it, over and over, and thinking that... the next time, it might be just a little different...
If the definition of "insanity" is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results, then I suppose this must me driving me insane!
I want to marry that woman.
I want to marry that woman.
Twice.
I think what you want is technically a subset of what we know as marriage.
