Sometime ago, my trusty shredder gave up the ghost and quit doing it’s duty. I got one yesterday and it is a whiz. When it shreds, it’s better than the one hillary used when she had all those records shredded. This one cuts the paper up into less than 1/4” pieces, it looks like tiny confetti and scatters the pieces all over the bottom of the container.
You are SO VERY RIGHT!! The snow and slush will still be there the first of April if I don't get it removed when I get the opportunity. Today was a 45 degree GIFT. We may not get another day like this until late February.
It is just incredibly dangerous to leave that stuff out there, and no one else in my family seems to have the least bit of interest in getting it removed. If it's going to happen, it will be because I take the initative to get it done. That's just the way things work around here.

......and you're right re: the slush; one extremely cold winter we had frozen ruts in our driveway, sidewalks etc. for months. No fun. Hubby was out "cleaning up" today also.
What can I say???? Bless your heart. It’s usually the women in the family that take care of the necessary things. Anyway...Take Care of Yourself...What if you spread some fertilizer over the driveway?
There was about 6 inches of snow on top of a 2 inch layer of ice, which had sealed another 4 inches of snow down.
So it was quite the mess, and far too deep for any type of snow melt to work really well.
I emailed my sons a couple of hours ago to inform them that I am scheduled for an MRI on Monday. Perhaps they will take pity on me and finish the job tomorrow. (altho I am not holding my breath)
