:-) Can you imagine the humiliation and the mileage some good candidates could get out of how corrupt, unethical and ignorant those pathetic democrats are to have allowed Barry to be nominated? They are the ones who should have vetted him.

Push for these new discovery laws. I like the legislative efforts to force future presidential candidates to show their Birth Certificate to be on the ballot. This will prevent Barry from having a Second term. We need to get this in as many states as possible. Particularly in states where Obama won.

the point of bringing up Hillary is that she was the one who had motivation to bring this issue up in December 2007. She did not do it. I do not speculate on why.

Let me just hit you between the eyes: It's a waste of time.  We can't prove it! When you can't prove something, you drop it.  It's a waste of time.  Now, the judge threw the case out in Philadelphia last week. A Mr. Berg had filed it and so forth.  Nobody was ever going to be able to prove it.  All there is is speculation.  Eight days speculation is not going to do anybody any good. It's not going to sway any independents. It's not going to change anybody's minds.  You know, the birth certificate thing, who knows? I'm opening my own e-mail, and the e-mails that I am getting are getting a little nuttier, more so than usual.  And now they're starting to come in from smart people, people I know, people that are smart, insisting I focus on some issue that will have no impact on the election.  But they think it's a game-changer.  One of the big things is this birth certificate thing.  The birth certificate has been sealed by the governor of Hawaii, after Obama went to see his dying grandmother, who is still alive.  I know about the legal case that went on in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania with Mr. Berg and so forth, but, folks, it's a waste of time.  http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_103008/content/01125104.member.html

Yup, i thought i heard that he at leat mentioned it. but i disagree with him on three points:

First of all, while i understand the smell test, it isnt dispositive of the case. Maybe his smell test is good enough for him to not discuss it on his show, but unless he defines what the ‘threshold” is for his smell test, it is just him blowing smoke.

Second, to say “we cant prove it” is incorrect. If the authntic BC was produced in court, the issue would be proven one way or the other. IT really boils down to a simple evidenciary proceeding. It CAN be proven, one way or the other- but not as long as the documents and truth is concealed.

Last of all, and most disturbing, is his assessment that EVEN IF it were proven, nothing would be done about it. Then why bother having a Constitution any more?

One of my crazy dreams was for Rush and or Sean Glen Mark Laura et al (hey FOXNews) to actually hire their own private investigators and have them do serious digging. Right after 0bama won the nomination.

It seems that if any of them, certainly if Rush had talked about this, even w/o any investigation, the others would have eventually done the same and the MSM would have had a tougher time staying quiet.

I’ve listened to Rush since the first month he went national in AUG of 1988. I love the man, but his silence on this is very disheartening.

To formally raise the issue prior to Congress' comfirmation of Obama would create a deadline by which he must either (1) present documentation showing he is legitimate, (2) be disqualified for failing to show documentation, or (3) be allowed in despite failing to show documentation. Amendment 20 would allow a means by which none of those things would have to happen on any sort of timetable. If Obama never wants to release his documentation, he could remain Presdient-Elect for four years without having to show it, and never have to actually be disqualified. Biden would serve as Acting President in the mean time.

How would that not be the most elegant solution?

Dont know why the talk heavies havent indulged the BC issue. Part of it is they dont want to jump on the wagon before the SCOTUS agrees to do something affirmatively about it. If that ever happens, I’d expect they’d state why they hadnt spoken about it until then.

Also, it is possible that this just isnt a big deal to them in the context of the election results, and before anyone flames that, consider- did the DOJ properly police Acorn during the campaign? Are the borders being properly guarded? Are illegals being deported? Is franken trying to steal the election? Did the dems lie about who is responsible for the F&F fraud and subsequent financial meltdown? Why is there no outcry about millions of $ earmarked for Acorn in the bailout? Why arent Odumbo’s illegal campaign contributions coming under scrutiny? what about the $800,000 he gave to an Acorn subsidiary?

Why arent the talkies going on about all those transgressions?

Why arent people shouring about it all from the rooftops?

I agree with you. The fact that is practically dead silence from the usual conservative (or sort of conservative) commentators is very odd.

One possible reason. The 0bama thing is such an intertwined, deeply rooted octopus - it’s not just no birth certificate, no records of ANYTHING, maybe not even a US citizen! - but his trips to Pakistan, his connection with Ayers, Wright, hiring NOI guys, connection to communists, member of the whatever that socialist party is called, former crack head, probable bisexual acts, connection with Chicago thuggery - the list is a mile long.

This is not just a little “where’s his birth certificate” issue. Opening it opens a can of worms that has lots of worms. Bringing him down would bring many, many others with him. Maybe some people are afraid of being connected with those connected with him.

I think maybe some people have received threats. Do I have any personal knowledge about that? Haha! No way, I’m nothing and nobody. Just intuition.
