Texas Girl,
You know I don’t disagree with you much. But, why would you choose to argue the point about whether the crowd in Lubbock was “hysterical”? Of course they were. Why wouldn’t they be? They had just won the biggest game in TT history?
It doesn’t diminish the victory to say the crowd was a part of it. They were. And, had that game been played in Austin, the UT crowd would have been a part of it... probably, enough to change the score by 14 points.
Our point is just this... Losing ON THE ROAD, on a 4th consecutive week as the GAME OF THE WEEK, before a “boisterous” (if not, hysterical) crowd in Lubbock was LESS of a loss than a mid-season game before a neutral crowd at the Cotton Bowl.
But... whatever... College football is DEAD to ME until they get a playoff.
Sure, the home team has an advantage with a cheering crowd, but the regular season has ended and your team lost in Lubbock, my team lost in Norman - nothing can change that now.
Good luck in your bowl game - it will be good to see a Big 12 team win the Fiesta Bowl for a change.
