I predict Perdogg will post the most vanities or
close to vanity threads of anybody of Free Republic.:)
To: Perdogg
There will be a few high-profile arrests for previously unheard-of (in the US) crimes and over 10,000 cases of "has anybody seen so-and-so?" by
July 4th. Those unaware of history will nod sagely at the wisdom of the former, and no one will notice the latter-- each of us might notice one or two...perhaps as they stop posting to
FR.
July 4th will be celebrated as "Interdependence Day", a day for Americans to remember that "we're all in this together", encouraging us to unite behind the Government in support of the high-profile prosecutions above-mentioned.
FR will go "down" more and more frequently. One day it just won't come back up. There will not be a Third Quarter Freepathon, not for lack of supporters or funds, but for lack of a destination for donations.

I agree with your predictions. The Change the sheeple asked for won’t be the change they’re gonna get. Surprise, surprise!! GOP will still be in search of a leader with gonads; none to be found. Surprise, surprise!!

Your predictions regarding the economy are very optimistic; I hope you are right in view of: after the 1929 crash, the Dow Jones low wasn’t reached until 1933 and the 1929 DJ high wasn’t reached again until 25 years later. We had a Democrat New Dealer during most of that period as well, you may recall.
You may also recall that a relatively untested liberal guy became President in 1977 with 61 Democrats in the senate and a 67% majority in the house but, the economy went “to hell in a handbasket.”

Stock market at 6500 on December 31, 2009. Obama’s approval rating below 33% by May 1, 2009. Britney Spears makes a fool of herself in public (yes I honestly expect it to happen). Al Qaida tests Obama in 2009(see Biden prediction).

Technically, you were correct about ‘no recession’
A recession is two consecutive quarters of negative change to the GDP. By the end of 2008, we will have only one such quarter (a second one is likely).

Obama will govern like a community organizer.
All decisions made by his administration will be made by "his administration" and he will vote present.
When good happens he will claim it as his own, when bad happens he will blame Bush, Republicans and or, his staff.
There will be many fall guys on his staff.
I predict two in the first year.

Obama will disband local police in favor of his own hand picked Obama squads, declare himself the first US Emporer after a generated crisis, create a giant super space station that shoots a massive laser beam, and disband the senate giving control the the regional governors.
