You may also recall that a relatively untested liberal guy became President in 1977 with 61 Democrats in the senate and a 67% majority in the house but, the economy went “to hell in a handbasket.

WOW!!! I did not know that the democrats had such a huge majority in Congress when Carter was elected.

That last figure should be 55.5% not 67% as I originally indicated.
