Former Soviet cosmonaut Vladimir Kovalenok appeared at a press conference devoted to unusual and anomalous phenomena in space. He said that he had witnessed something inexplicable during his work on board the Salyut orbital station. The cosmonaut said that he once saw a strange object on Earths orbit. He asked his partner, Viktor Savinykh, to fetch a camera. While Savinykh was trying to find the camera, the object exploded in front of Kovalenoks eyes. The object split into two parts and had something like a bridge connecting those parts. The dumbbell-like object disappeared before the other cosmonaut was ready to photograph it. A strong radioactive emission was registered on Earth soon after the explosion of the mysterious object. Kovalenok said that many of his colleagues had witnessed something unusual on a number of occasions, but they decided not to bring those issues to the public attention.

That being the case, evolution on other worlds would probably follow the same rules and come up with a dominant life form that would look pretty much similar to what we developed into.
If their native planet was identical to Earth. What if it's bigger/much greater gravity? What if they don't breathe oxygen?
These aliens are never seen wearing space suits, so I assume they breathe oxygen. They have limbs like ours, so I have to assume their gravity is similar. So, we are left to believe somewhere out there beyond the stars there's a planet just like earth that produces space aliens who look nearly identical to us, yet cannot be photographed and leave no evidence of themselves.
Not likely.

“He said that he had witnessed something inexplicable during his work on board the Salyut orbital station.”
If it’s inexplicable then it is clearly a visitor from another planet.

Who knows?
But think it through. If they didn’t breath oxygen, why would they bother visiting a planet where oxygen is used? The only reason we are mucking around with Venus or Mars is because those are the only planets we can reach.
If we had interstellar travel, we would be out looking for earthlike worlds. I would imagine that any alien society with star travel would look for planets as close to their own as possible. I doubt we’ll bother with Jupiter for anything.
It’s all speculation, and as a science fiction fan, I like to speculate. Also, as a science fiction fan, I find ufo freaks to be somewhat amusing and don’t take them seriously.
But I don’t discount them completely. Too many of those reports have been made by extremely serious folks.

If you want a good laugh, a look at some of Bo and Peep’s stuff is as wild as it gets. Also check out the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh cult, “Osho World”:
http://www.oshoworld.com/
These people obsess with Osho’s New Age sham the same way people were taken in by the One. I include the UFO cult in the same category.

Which STS flight was it where you can hear the ground controller asking the astronauts Do you still have the flying saucer in view? I saw that one.
This one is funny too!
Mission Control: "Hey Look! A UFO!"
Astronaut: "UFO? We don't see no stinkin' UFOs!!!"
Mission Control: "Ummm... never mind..."

I saw a similar craft over Samsun, Turkey when I was stationed there in the north coast on the Black Sea.
Oh, no, it's probably one of those metallic igloos the Russians experimented with back in the day./SARCASM
